This series will explain how the whole program works so you can see how POWERFUL this SYSTEM is for helping you overcome and master Adult ADHD/ADD and helping kids overcome and master ADHD/ADD too.
So, the first module that that we will be working on is letting the energy out and getting grounded. The reason this is first is because if you are suffering with Adult ADHD/AD or your child is suffering with ADHD/ADD, then being hypersensitive, you are easily overwhelmed with stimulus. It is this overwhelm from stimulation that has you feeling like you're being run by a motor. It is what causes the emotional stress, focus issues, brain chatter, and leaves you feeling like you are driven by a motor on the inside. However, the overstimulation makes it difficult to focus or get anything done so you feel stuck! I get it as I was there. The grounding techniques, training, and coaching a lot of times can be really difficult to begin with because you are so overstimulated. This is why we begin with first some practices on letting energy out to take the edge off. Even though Adult ADHD/ADD is different from children suffering with ADHD/ADD, the hyperactive energy is still there in the form of too much thought energy. So, the first module of the Overcome ADHD Mastery System is about letting that excess energy out. There are a bunch of techniques and practices that I will give you that will show you different ways to not only let energy out, but also how to be sensitive to different things and figure out when you're being overwhelmed. This awareness of a situation or environment that is causing you overwhelm is one of the keys to be able to overcome it. Remember, you cannot master what you do not yet understand. Once we get the energy out, then you're able to feel a bit more relaxed. This is where we begin the work on getting grounded! Everything we do from this point will lay the foundation for what is to come. Being grounded means to be connected to nature, to be present in this moment, and to bring yourself to the right here and right now. There are a whole bunch of practices that I'm going to teach you to be able to do this. These techniques range from tai chi, meditation, and other techniques that I have developed on my own. These techniques are essential and critical keys to overcome and mastering both Adult ADHD/ADD and also for children suffering with ADD/ADHD as well! The reason grounding is so important is because what I have found is that so many of the problems that we face including difficulties and challenges of emotional problems and focus problems are because we are not grounded. In my own life, because I wasn't present in the right here and right now I got overwhelmed by my sensitivity to things, and lost myself in emotions all too often. When we are in our minds thinking too much or in our emotions we are not present, and that is when it is all too difficult to find ourselves off centered, unfocused, and emotionally unbalanced. This is when we tend to do things we might regret, or find ourselves without any ability to do the things we have to do. The good news is, however, that when we are in this present moment, then there's very little room for the emotional issues or for getting lost in our head. In fact, when you get grounded everything will begin to fall into place. We build this foundation in order to grow tall, because as it is said that a tree can only grow as tall as its roots are deep.
