Entrepreneur Success Stories |
Jason, the Online Entrepreneur I met Jason at a business networking event. He did book cover design and helped authors publish both in traditional ways and self publish as well. He really liked what I said at the meeting about the secret to building the business is building you. He told me as we talked outside the venue that his biggest problem was deep rooted anxiety of overwhelm from so many creative ideas that he often failed to communicate and have the confidence he needed to grow his business. We decided to have another meeting as he was very interested in how I could help him. He told me that in the past he has lost major business deals to the tune of 60K per month as the person that was going to give him the business realized it was causing Jason a lot of anxiety and decided to go with someone else. Jason and I agreed to work together to help him once and for all overcome this anxiety from the overwhelm, and have the self image he needed to grow his business like crazy. We worked together for 6 months, and he was one of my most dedicated and hardworking clients. He overcame the anxiety, and also really started believing in himself and knowing he was worthy of success. In that time, Jason went from having no following, tons of anxiety, and many underpaying clients....to having an online subscriber following of over 80K people with 7K new subscribers every month. He is now doing product launches with major internet marketers and launching his own products to his huge subscriber base. In that time, Jason's new found mastery also led him to doing business with some really high-end names in his industry. He has also done business with celebrities and personally helped many authors become NY Times Best Sellers. He is now a major force in the self publishing industry, and is more successful than he could have imagined. Every time I think of him...I just laugh at how amazing it is to see someone go so far in such a short amount of time, because they did the work and were willing to change. |
Jack, the Business Owner
I met Jack through his business networking group. He ran website design and a brand marketing company. He was intrigued by how I have helped clients in the past to grow their business and yet still have peace in their lives. Jack at that time was anything but peaceful. He took his company from just 1 person(himself) doing all the work and making 200k per year to a team of 10 full time employees. His smallest job was 10K, and often did work for fortune 500s. The problem was that Jack was constantly overwhelmed, stressed out to the max, micro-managing his workers, and often still putting in 80 hour weeks. He had already hired two other coaches and a two consultants before me. They all gave him the same song and dance, and told him that the problem was his business structure, and he needed to set it up properly and automate it. Jack paid these coaches and consultants a ton of money, and did all they told him to, but things still did not change. I told him that frankly the problem was not the business-it was him. He was intrigued by this, and really began to understand how his anxiety, overwhelm, perfectionist, and micro-managing behaviors really were at the core of his problems. We began to work together, and within the period of 6 months his anxiety and overwhelm was gone. His business started to really take off, and he started making a ton more money. We parted ways as he was really able to see the benefit of being more relaxed, and letting his team handle most of the work. This added work required him to hire a manager to handle it all, but this led him to micro-managing him to the point of again working 80 hours per week. Jack and I reconnected at another one of his meetings, and he explained to me his issues. We then decided to work together once again, and in that short time he was able to finally let go of his perfectionist and micro-managing attitudes. He then figured out the best systems that worked to automate his business. The last we talked Jack again makes over 200K per year, has near 20 employees, works with even higher clientele, and most important is able to relax, travel, take time off, and enjoy being the owner of his very profitable and self running business rather than the work horse.
